Paloma Equestrian Centre

History

Bellmere Lodge became Paloma Equestrian Centre

In 1986, Peter Bell purchased a property north of Brisbane and developed it into a successful Race Horse Training facility known as Bellmere Lodge.

At the height of its powers, Bellmere Lodge had upwards of 60 race horses in training. Employing 10 staff, which included track work riders, stable hands and maintenance staff. With 60 stables on site, a training track of 1400m, two round yards a 10 horse walker and a swimming pool for the horses it was a force to be reckoned with.

30 years on, the same property is now known as ‘Paloma Equestrian Centre’ – with the new owners Alain and Marie Barjon from New Caledonia.  Being mindful of the great racing history that  is in this property Alain and Marie are bringing back to life this gorgeous place giving it a  bit of love and enhancement!

We offer agistment and a Horse riding School – catering from beginners to intermediate with great horse treks in the forest that runs behind  Paloma.

We look forward to meeting you and your horse.
Don’t hesitate to visit us – you’ll be surprised !
